I've been tagged

April has tagged me. This tag doesn't include any running and chasing. This tag has to do with my memory. The running I might be able (albeit slowly) to do, remembering things may be a bit more difficult. Blame it on old age. :) OK hear goes...

Twenty years ago, spring 1988. I had 4 children Misty was 8 (almost 9), Rachel was 6 (almost 7), Joshua was 5 and April 2. I'm pretty sure we were going to Misty's softball games with Larry (their dad) coaching. Rachel could also have been playing softball. Joshua most likely was playing t-ball. We hadn't been in our house too long after moving back in. We had a fire the previous year (when we lived in town) and we had to do extensive repair and remodeling.

Ten years ago, spring 1998. I was attending thousands (seemed like it) of track meets and baseball games. I loved watching Rachel run and jump and Joshua throw and throw hard. I was watching Michael play baseball in major league he also was doing well. I know it sounds crazy but I really miss that. I love watching my kids do things that they enjoy, they were all so good at it. I didn't hesitate to cheer loud. Misty had graduated the year before so she was attending CC.April was singing I'm sure.

Five years ago, spring 2003. Let's see Michael was the only one at home since April went to live with Misty. You notice I measure time by what my kids were doing? Let's see Michael was in 8th grade in middle school so we were going to his track meets and watching him run fast:) Plus I was also enjoying being a grandma I'm sure.

3 years ago, 2005. We were preparing for Rachel's wedding I'm sure. Right Rach? April got engaged also but her engagement wasn't as long as Rachel's., so we didn't have to prepare as long. :) We once again were going to Michael's track meets until he repulled his hamstring that he had injured in football and couldn't run any more. By this time we had 2 grandhildren:) A few months before spring I was called as the Stake Young Women President for our church. I was responsible for training all the Young Women leaders in 8 wards, aproximately 120 girls, visiting the wards, teaching the Young Women, helping to prepare and go to camp, plan and help chaperone dances, help plan and attend youth conferences.

1 year ago, 2007. Our son Joshua was engaged and they wanted to marry in our yard so we were busily getting our yard and flower beds ready for a wedding. A good reason to get things done, eh? I had three grandchildren, (1 was added that I didn't have to change any diapers for when Joshua got married:). Rachel and April were both expecting babies. So 2007 started with 3 grandchildren and ended with 6. I was also busy helping to plan and get ready for a "pioneer trek" that we were taking the youth from our Stake on at the end of July. The trek was a great success and experience for our youth.

Yesterday (It's easier to remember yesterday). I finished the quillow for my son-in-law Matt. To make a long story short I actually gave him the fleece material for the quillow (blanket that can fold into a pillow) for one of his Christmas presents and I just got it done. I also started on another sewing project that I'm not at liberty to say yet. The day before yesterday I was "released" as the Stake Young Women's President after 3 1/2 years. Now another capable Woman is in charge.

Today I finished the sewing project that I'm not at liberty to say yet. I also made a lap blanket and a blanket for Jovie with the rest of the fleece that I made Matt's quillow with. I'm grateful Larry didn't care about eating leftovers today.

Tomorrow I am going to seminary. Larry teaches the youth from our church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, which is called seminary. He has three classes each afternoon on school days. This year The Old Testiment is the subject of learning. I am his "helper" with secretary like things. Actually I do everything but the teaching. :) Plus I need to go grocery shopping, stuff like that. I also need to do payroll for our employees.

Boy this is taking a long time...

In 1 month I will be anxiously awaiting the birth of my 7th grandchild. Misty and David's 4th. Plus I'll just be returning from a Mexican Riviera Cruise., with Larry and Michael and Andrew (Michael's cousin)

In 1 year I will be an empty nester. Michael will be on his mission. What will that be like? No kids at home. I'll not hurry to that point. In one year I'll let you know what I'll be doing.

Now I'm suppose to "Tag" 3 people to do this. Since April already tagged Misty and Rachel I can't, so I will tag the only other 3 people on my blog list.

I tag Sharon, Maryanne and Teresa. Go for it girlfriends!
