An unusual visitor in the house

The Hummingbirds are back and right now we are at the high season of visitors. I've started making a gallon of food for them about every other day and am needing to fill the feeders every day or every other day depending on the size. I have 4 feeders up and am thinking about putting up another one. Today I was taking the feeder down by the back door to bring in to refill and the little birds wouldn't quit feeding. I was holding the feeder and as soon as all the birds were off I quickly brought it in. Buuutttt one little bird followed the feeder in. She went straight up to the high window. I had to pull a Gabe to get her down.

I couldn't let this picture opportunity pass me by. She patiently waited for me while I got my camera ready.

I decided to see if she would let me pick her up.

She was catching her breath before she flew off.

She flew right to the feeder. I understand the saying if someone is frustrated that their feathers are ruffled. I think she was frustrated see her ruffled feathers.

I'm sorry she had to have that experience but it was cool to hold her in my hands.

Clara's 1st birthday weekend

The last of our three little granddaughters that was born withn in 6 months of each other turned 1 this last week. Clara had a teddy bear picnic party with a lovely cake, family, friends and presents. The birthday girl is on the right. I thought it was cute that they were both sitting in a chair.

Before the party we went to Aria's soccer game. She played great! She passed the ball several times for one of her team mates to kick in the goal.

Nathan (7 1/2 years old) borrowed my camera and took the next three pictures. I found it interesting the angle he had. I also thought they were pretty good pics.

The adults were making an arch for Aria's team to run through.

Jovie loves loves loves Ruby. She wanted to walk her back to the car. Adorable!

The big event. Clara's party! Isn't this cake cute. Misty traded a photo shoot with someone for this cake.

Clara is very intrigued with her momma lighting the candle.

Oh this is yummy!

Presents too? Wow this is fun.

We got her a doll. She loved it!

I am so glad I had my camera. This was a spontaneous big hug Jovie and Mae had. Isn't this adorable? These 3 little girls are going to enjoy growing up together.

Sharing Papa's lap. There's more than enough room and love for all of them and our other grandchildren on our laps and in our hearts.

I put this one in because I wanted to show that Mae is really her mother's daughter. Seeing her pinching her papa's cheek? LOL

Fun weekend!
