Fun at the Beach! August 21, 2012

A day at the beach is always fun. Shannon, Jessica, Ethan and Kat (Jessie's friend) came on Monday so it was a really good reason to go back to the beach on Tuesday.
I love, absolutely love when we are together as a family having a fun time.
My new camera has such great zoom on it that I was able to get a picture of an eagle on top of a tree. I love the effect of the outlines of the trees behind.

My two oldest grand daughters Aria and Jessica are pretty awesome if I do say so myself.

Ethan didn't like the sand very much so Papa J and his momma is trying to help him see that it's fun and not scary.

Jessica and Ainsley. Oldest and youngest grand daughters.

Emma is a pro at rowing now that she's on her second day. We had them pick up the board and boat for our play day in the water.

Mighty handsome grandpa I would say.

Shannon, Ethan and Papa J went to explore the inlet.

Ethan loved it! It's not a dirty as the sand. Hehe.

Pictures of our beach fun day.
April did not fall off. Way to go!

Michael and Emma.

Big sister and her son with little brother. Cute. Gabe and Michael have such similar smiles it's crazy!

You think? Yes!

Lunch break!

All alone on the lake. Yeah right...

I got some water time too with Papa J, Ainsley and Ethan.

Jovie and her momma.

David and Hyrum enjoying the calm water.

David is artistic as you can see with his rendition of Jesus Christ made of sand.

Larry found a rope swing when him and Nathan were exploring the inlet that a few of us played on for awhile until it started thundering and lightening.

We had to hurry back. Jessica and Kat needed an extra hand or two so they hung onto Michael's boat and he rowed them in. He got his arm work out in for the day.

I would call this a great day.
A family that plays together is a fun family.

Afternoon August 20th, 2012 McCall Idaho

Checked out down town McCall, Idaho. Cute little place which had a very yummy hamburger joint. But who wants a hamburger when you can have ice cream? Nor Ainsley.
She is sharing. Take a bite.

OK. So Ainsley isn't the only one with ice cream fever.
Jovie and Clara and just about everyone under the age of 12 got some.

Just too cute! Asher is in there too. Where is he?

Gabe. Yep adorable Gabe.

Michael and Emma.

Misty.

We can not go on a vacation unless we get some golf in. That is an unspoken Larry rule.
Larry, David, Michael and Linda took off for an afternoon round.

Michael's turn.

David's up to putt with his team mate looking on.

Linda putting it in the hole I'm sure.

2nd place team of Larry and David.

We are the champions! By a total of one stroke, one lucky stroke.

Morning of August 20th, 2012 McCall Idaho

No carnival is in the city of McCall but Mae and Owen felt like looping around and flying so Papa J gave them a ride. Brave and trusting souls those two little ones.

Rachel wanted in on the action so Michael twirled her around.

A few of us hit the beach in the city of McCall Idaho Monday morning. Playing in the water and sand was on the list of priorities.
The water was beautiful and calm. Calm enough for Michael to skip some rocks.

Emma and Michael going for a stroll with a cute tag a long.
"Hey mom.! They are getting too deep."

Sand time! Let's cover up Uncle Michael's feet.
Clara, Mae, Emma and Owen.

I wonder what Papa J is making? Is it a snake? A worm? An alien?

No it's an octopus!

Aunt Emma's turn to get buried in sand.
Clara, Mae, Rachel and Michael are all working together. I wonder what they are making her into?

A pretty mermaid!

The perfect way to get the sand off.

We had a fun time that morning. We were sorry to have to say good bye to Rachel, Mae and Owen. They needed to go back home. But we are SO glad they came!
