An elephant's gestation period is about 720 days. A year has 365 days. 365 x 2 = 730. 730 + 5 = 735. On November 24th, 2010 it will have been 735 days since Larry and I took Michael to the MTC to begin his mission to the Missouri Independence Mission. My waiting period for Michael to come back home is the same as an overdue African Elephant. For the last couple of months and becoming more so now I feel like I am nesting. I feel I am about ready to give birth and I need to be ready for when that day comes. When it gets close to the time when your missionary is about to come home your hormones or something start acting up. At the mere thought of seeing him again or of giving him a hug I start to cry. I'll be talking to someone and I'll get teary eyed. It reminds me of being pregnant and watching the Price is Right and I start crying because I am happy for someone winning something. The carpets need cleaned, the windows washed, the whole house cleaned, the garden and flower beds cleared out, food prepared, his room readied. And to top all that off we have Christmathanks (combination of Thanksgiving and Christmas) the next morning after he comes home. So presents need to be bought, wrapped, food prepared, Christmas decorations up and the home ready for all the family that will be here. So as I think of everything that I need to do I will not stress out. Nope I won't. Because when all is said and done at the end of the 2 year gestation period giving birth is alot easier when all he has to do is walk off the airplane and he's already potty trained.
I AM SO EXCITED!
